Tung flowers

We had plan for a trip since few weeks ago; in the beginning, we want to go Gu Guan for taking a hot spring. Yet, some said Gu Guan was always raining recently; as a result, we changed our plan. Then, we decided to visit San Yi for seeing Tung flowers.
My friends came to Taichung last weekend. Since they had different classes, they separated three groups and arrived Taichung at different time. We met with other people in a restaurant. The funny thing was two of my friends talked so happily on the way to the restaurant that they didn’t see we turn right. They got lost soon! So we waited for a long time until everyone gathered in the restaurant. After eating a delicious meal, we went to see beautiful night scenes. I expected tomorrow! Oh~ it’s really hot.

Should unmarried couples cohabit before marriage?

Nowadays, cohabitation becomes more and more common. What factors stimulate unmarried people to choose cohabitation, according to some survey, I conclude some reasons. Cohabitational couples are afraid of unsuccessful marriage, so they cohabit for trying marriage or accustoming their partner’s life mode. Besides, the couples cohabit for convenience since they had work at different time, and they found it’s hard to date often. As a result, they lived together for saving the problem and saving money. I support the point of cohabitation, for many benefits for cohabitation surpass marriage immediately.
In my opinion, knowing a person well before marriage is a vital factor to have a successful marriage. Couples realize their partner before marriage better than after marriage. The divorce rate became higher and higher these days; cohabitation prevents the rate from higher and higher negatively.
Some people say that cohabitation couldn’t guarantee not to divorce, yet cohabitation at least is a better way to resolve the problem. They can know the other’s attitude toward life or defects that can’t easily find through date. If the partner has some habit or defects which couldn’t be tolerate, communication is quite important. If still not work, then breaking up is better than divorce.
Some people may say cohabitation hurts woman. Females have no assurance in law contrast to marriage, therefore, they oppose cohabitation. However, I considered this problem can be solving by not having children until married. And if male has act of violence, female can leave him instantly without constraint of marriage. Many examples show that wives tolerate domestic violence since she has children or has no economy independent. Cohabitation avoids the disadvantage of marriage.
Cohabitation has many benefits that can avoid some problems in marriage, through knowing a partner well, one can consider accept the person’s life style and defects or not.

Spring vacation

During the spring vacation, I went to Liuchiu, a little island, near Taiwan. We decided motorcycles as transportation in Liuchiu since it’s very small, so few people drive cars. We took boat to Liuchiu with our motorcycles and had to pay one hundred for each motorcycle. When I was on the boat, I felt dizzy and uncomfortable. Finally, I went to deck because it made me felt better. It’s really hot in Liuchiu, so we went to visit a special park at the beginning rather than beach. I unfolded sunshade as long as walking, but I still felt my skin was burning. The most impressive experience was we went to “black ghost hole.” Black ghost whole has a legens that many negro slaves had been lived on the island. One day English Navy found this little island and fought against negro slaves. Negro slaves attacked English navy.

About My GEPT

About My GEPT
I had a GEPT exam on Saturday afternoon. I felt nervous because I didn’t prepare anything for it. My listening is not well, and my reading skill became weaken after finishing JCEE. I felt my vocabulary even less than before. I used to take a nap if I have time. I didn’t take a nap before GEPT, so I drank coffee for avoiding felt sleepy.
However, when the invigilators announced the matters needing attention, I felt sleepy. I tried to keep conscious, but it’s really uncomfortable. When the end of the reading test, my answer was left over one. Maybe it’s because I wrote the wrong answer on wrong blank. Oh my god! It’s very terrible. But I didn’t have any time to check the answer. I was in bad mood after GEPT was over.Few days later, the grade of GEPT can be search on the internet on Tuesday. When I saw the grade, I screamed. Luckily, I passed it. I had worried for few days. Thanks God!

Weekly Journal

I went home this spring vacation. It’s raining and a little cold when I was in Taichung; as a result, I considered that I if I should bring my heavy coat to Ping Tung. Finally, I decided not to bring it according to my previous experience. Ping Tung is always hotter than Taichung. It took me several hours for waiting and taking the bus. It’s already dark when I went home. I had made plan for my spring vacation and also brought English Literature with me; however, I studied one page only. Then, I lost my patient.

When I arrived Hong-Kong, I thought Hong-Kong airport, compare to Kaohsiung, is really huge. No wonder it is an international transfer post. On the way to Lang-Hao hotel, we met an interesting taxi driver. He can speak a little Chinese with a strange tone; as a result, he made us laughed all the way. We had a pleasant amazement while seeing Lang Hao Fang; it’s a huge building which separate three parts. There’s department store, hotel, company. It’s really beautiful. The waiter and waitress were kindly, they answered me many questions patiently. I realized that English is very important until I met many people who couldn’t speak Chinese. We went to visit

Summary and Response to “College Lectures: Is Anybody Listening?"
David Daniels criticize that college students doesn’t cultivate well after graduating. American education causes many problems; for instance, it influences not only creativity but also fundamental technique. Due to lacking of these two elements, American businesses and industries become less competitive. The author fabricates a student named Mary to express the common phenomena in lecture system. Teachers don’t interact with students, besides students depend on quizzes to study. The author also mentions the reason that lectures still existing is financial problems.
I had large lecture classes since senior high school. At that time, every student had much pressure of entering college. We had many quizzes every day; as a result, many students would review the contexts when teacher was delivering the lecture. Yet, the drillmasters forbid us from reviewing the subjects. Firstly, the light at the auditorium was dim, so it’s really harmful to eyes. Secondly, we didn’t respect the teacher for not paying attention to the lecture. I considered that we didn’t have any tests about the large lecture contents, so it’s obviously that students concentrated on studying other subjects or doing something else.
The same situation happens again now. Ministry of education regulate a college student have to take general knowledge courses. However, the regulation is only a form, it seldom works. There are no quizzes in many courses; we just had to hand over notes. Consequently, most of the students write the notes in haste, and begin to nod or do their own thing. Although some industrious students pay much attention on absorbing new information, most of students don’t maintain the desire of learning for lacking of tests and pressure.
In my opinion, small discussion classes more effective sometimes. The main reason is one has to understand the contexts clearly before discussion, so he or she can propose some contentions. Besides, one will require thinking deeply if he or she wants to present some meaningful thoughts. Also, small discussion classes can develop students’ organization. The students have to organize the detail well since loose structure may mislead other people. Take me for example; I pay much attention to the small discussion classes than large lecture classes. Because the topics of large lecture classes always not attractive to me; I am easily to nod or do other things.
To sum up, due to financial problems, it’s difficult for school to decrease all the large lecture classes. Nevertheless, teachers can ask students some questions and students can search some information about the topic. Both of teachers and students should be positive to interaction.

Weekly Journey

This week nothing impressed me. Let’s talk about my winter vacation. At the beginning of winter vacation, I made some plans. For instance, I wanted to find a part time job and practice English listening. The end was I didn’t follow the schedule. At first, I slept until 12o’clock and playing computer all day. Few days later, my mom told me to search the information for traveling. Eventually, we decided to visit Hong Kong since my parents were busy in working. It took me many days to deal with anything about the trip including my family’s passport and order the motel.
We went to Kaohsiung airports at 5 o’clock A.M. My sister and I felt sleepy. The terrible problem was that my mom couldn’t find the person who was assign to help us. We were unhappy and nervous until found him. We arrive Hong Kong safely.(to be continued)

Weekly Journal

Last weekend, my friend and I went to Taichung country. On the way to lavender, we talked happily which resulted us didn’t pay much attention to the lights. I remembered that my friend only rode about 30km/h. When I was confused why my friend said” shit” a police stopped us suddenly. My friend didn’t pay attention to the red light. The intersection was so small that both of us noticed it. My friend pleased the police not to fine us; however, the police still gave a fine for rushing red light. And he said “money is not important, but safety is significant.” I said “we didn’t rush purposely.” He still wrote the fine fast. After giving the fine to my friend, he said “Have a happy holiday.” Both of us thought how we could be happy after receiving a fine.
After buying ticket, we saw a sign writes “Please, leave sad food out of the forest.” Entering the forest, I relaxed soon. We took many photos and recovered from bad mood. We ordered rose, lavender, rose, lemon favor ice cream. It’s really a unforgettable experience.
